Read my page about why the service structure is guaranteed to fail. I am going to run through the Concepts and show you how they are simply the Traditions at the World Level if it could actually work, which it cannot, under Natural Law.
Concept 9:
Good service leadership at all levels is indispensable for our future functioning and safety. Primary world service leadership, once exercised by the founders, must necessarily be assumed by the trustees.
This is basically about Tradition 9 – it talks about servant leadership. There are leaders in AA. People who act on principle; who are humble; who don’t fall for the false power of their personality… People who understand the responsibility of AA is to keep it pure for the following 7 generations to come. Again, the 9th Traditions states that service leadership is directly responsible TO those they serve, not FOR those they serve. This falls on the shoulders of the Trustees, ultimately. Sadly, the Trustees of today were elected by personality, don’t give a rats ass about principle and blunder along following the staff’s agenda to guarantee their pension plan.
But – the 9th Concept is GREAT in theory!
