Last week, I stumbled upon a meeting that is really good! It’s a bunch of old timer guys who understand the principles of AA. It meets at 10am every day at this one Group here in my city.
The Group itself has 7 meetings a day and of course, as they do, they become almost like 7 separate groups within 1 group.
Later, I find out that the steering committee needs to be re-organized and they are having a Group Conscience next Saturday to decide if they should hybridize all their meetings to zoom/f2f!!!!
I feel so devastated! After 3 years I have finally found a GREAT meeting that is almost a group in and of itself, and they are going to be voting next week to see if they want to go ZOOM.
I am not a member, so I can’t vote, but I will attend the group conscience. I made a Sigil for this situation – it’s a visual prayer – and this is how I pray these days about serious issues.
I will go to uphold the Traditions and I might even read to them out of AA Comes of Age…p. 276.
